Grown in the Eastern region of Venezuela, this cocoa produces a rich chocolate flavor with subtle notes of nuts and brown sugar. A distinctively low bitterness is a result of the humidity, elevation and rich soils of the plantations found along the coast which allow for the production of some of the finest cocoa in the world.
The homeland of cocoa, for hundreds of years Venezuela has produced some of the world's highest quality cocoa beans. Ancestral knowledge of the pre and post-harvest process have given creation to a map of exceptional chocolate profiles ranging from fruity and delicate, to bold and persistent. 100% Of Venezuelan cocoa exports are regarded as Fine or Flavor cocoa as classified by the International Cocoa Organization.
